Nory-J – Irrelevant, Benevolent

South coast solo artist Nory-J has mustered up the ideal tune to soundtrack the twilight of the summer. Using laid back jazzy beats and a relaxed melody, on ‘Irrelevant, Benevolent’ the dream pop singer-songwriter finds room to breathe easily after a relationship’s pointlessly tempestuous final scenes, creating something reassuringly peaceful out of drama.

After exploring a range of styles during his madly prolific, yet still fledgling career, Nory-J’s latest incarnation nestles neatly in amongst The 1975, easy life and Rex Orange County’s empyreal sound, embracing the bedroom pop ethos with nonchalantly remarkable results. Heartbreak never sounded so cool.

‘Irrelevant, Benevolent’ was released on 25th August 2023 and is available to hear on all streaming services right now. Have a listen on the Spotify below, or just search for it wherever you get your tunes:

I like music. In my spare time sometimes I listen to it and then write about the music I've listened to.
